Councillor Tanya Foubert
My name is Tanya Foubert, and I am a second-term Councillor for the Town of Canmore. I was successfully re-elected for my second term on council in October, 2025.
Before being elected in 2021, I was a journalist and editor for 15 years at the Rocky Mountain Outlook, the paper of record for the Bow Valley. I also co-hosted a morning radio show and have been a student of governance, strategy, and leadership since my mid-20s.
Over the past four years, I have served two years on the ABMunis environment and sustainability committee and one year on the governance committee. I obtained my Municipal Elected Leaders Certificate from the Elected Officials Education Program in 2024.
