It’s election day in Canmore!
Well, it’s finally here. Election day!
Over the past four weeks, I have been overwhelmed by the support I have received throughout the campaign. Humbled and grateful that my fellow residents of Canmore would place their trust in me to make decisions.
I have learned a lot about where our community is focused when it comes to the challenges that we should focus on collectively to create a better future. Thank you to everyone who took the time to speak with me or reached out.
I am running for council because I strongly believe in the importance of public service. I have watched and recorded the leaders of our community make decisions for long enough to know that being elected to the role of town councillor is one of service.
This is a role that I take seriously and that I believe has the power to make life better for people in our community. Our elected local leaders make decisions that affect our quality of life.
Solomon ben Judah said: “At the heart of all understanding is realizing what is and what cannot be and the consoling of what is not in our power to change.”
This is how we will tackle our challenges – together, with a focus on finding solutions and making informed decisions. I am running for council because I have hope for our future. I have the knowledge and skills to do the work needed to make that future a reality.
Get out and vote today! Polls are open at the Coast Hotel until 8 p.m.
